First Assignment in 1995.

Vertical Portrait against a Red Background in Chambers of Mr. Franciscus Joannes Maria (Frank) (F.J.M.) Houben, Queen's Commissioner / Commissaris der Koningin / Commissaris van de Koningin.Somewhat thirty (30) years or three (3) decades ago, I was asked to produce a couple of portraits of Mr. Frank Houben, then Queens Commissioner of the Dutch Province Noord-Brabant. Recently I was scanning through my analog archive of negatives, made during the 1990’s, when I was still an amateur photographer. With just a small, DSLR Minolta X700 and a couple of Fuji Color Films, I went, had to wait, young and nervous, in Anti Chamber for the “Commissaris van de Koningin” to be ready, after which I was granted twenty minutes or so, not knowing at all how to approach it or had to behave. This analog color portrait is one of the remaining results, published in a magazine afterwards. It’ll remain inside that analog archive, as a mark of what was to come some ten years later: Professional Photography. This assignment proved to be a valuable and positive preparation.
